Congrats on the handbag. There's nothing like owning that purse you adore. I would use a little metal polish on the hardware, just be very very careful not to get any on the leather as it may discolor the leather or stain it. You may even want to take it to Saks and see if they have any additional suggestions or special cleaning products.

I received a Prada bag that I absoulutely love! I noticed lately that the silver hardware is starting to discolor in areas, how to I care for this? There are no directions on the authenticity cards and the care card only talks about stain removal and leather care. This bag was received as a gift from my husband and was purchased at Saks. Thanks

Hi Laura,

Many of the designer bags are made in China. Unless you purchased the bag from an authorized retailer, it can be difficult to be certain if it is real or fake. Many of the fakes are very well done. Either way, it sounds like you are happy with the purchase and that you have a nice, high quality purse.

I just purchased a used, what I think, is a Prada handbag. It has Prada engraved into it in the front, has a nylon zipper closure, with a silver buckle closer with magnets on the inside, it is an older bag in mint condition, with nylon zippers. Prada tag is inside(engraved in leather) the bag itself is soft leather. Stitching looks good. The reason I question it, is because also in the inner lining, it has a small white tag that says Made in China. Please let me know if it is "fake". Thank you, Laura

It sounds gorgeous. Do you have an vintage clothing stores in the area? There or a current retailer of Prada are probably the best two places to take it to see if it is authentic or not. Since it is older and still in good condition, that is a good sign. The quality is often the indicating factor in whether a purse is real or fake. Good luck!

I haven't had experience with either company. However, Prada is typically sold only at high end department stores. I have seen authentic Prada at Overstock.com, however it is usually last season's models, for example.

Some things that indicate it may be authentic

The price is comparable to other retailers
The location. Authorized Prada retailers won't sell their item out of the trunk of a car or usually online auctions (although private parties do sometimes offer their authentic merchandise for resell - but buyer beware)
Read the descriptions completely - if it says inspired by, similar to or anything along those lines then it is a knockoff.

As for Eurobella specifically, the pricing looks in line and they have a 100% authentic guarantee. If you are still uncertain, it might be worth phoning the toll free number and discussing the issue a bit more in depth with the company.
